Access to information collected
When you add contacts to our service it is with the understanding that we have access to this data and the information in any email campaign you choose to create and/or send out using this service.
We use clear gifs (web beacons/web bugs) in our HTML-based emails for the sole purpose of collecting email recipient data such as when an email is opened. This method is used in our statistical reporting to report on emails that are successfully sent and opened, and on recipient click-throughs from your campaign to external online assets such as destination URLs (websites).
Confidentiality of email campaigns
The internet is at essence an insecure platform. When you send an email it gets transmitted via several other servers until it reaches its destination. At any point during this process your communication can be viewed by third parties. If your communication is confidential in nature do not use email or this service to send your communication.
Disclosure of Personal Information
When you look at our website, register to use the Etools website, use our Etools service, call us or send us an email we make a record of the information you provide to us. This information may include:
- Your server address (IP address)
- Personal Name
- Business Name / ABN / ACN or other business identifier
- Physical Address and/or Billing Address
- Contact information includes Email Address & Phone Number
- Credit Card and other payment information
- The pages you accessed and documents downloaded and on what date and time you accessed these pages
- Statistical information for our email campaigns and your email campaigns including sent, opened, clicked, bounced
- The website or search engine which referred you to us (if applicable) and other Google Analytics data reporting information
Our log files will store information about your visit to and use of our service including IP Address, Internet Service Provider and date/time stamps.
The service offered on the Etools website is web based and as such is inherently insecure. We do our best to protect your information but we cannot guarantee it. If we find there is a breach in our systems we will notify you as soon as we can and will also provide you with a report on the actions we have taken to protect your data.
We do not accept or store credit card information on our website. All of our payments occur via offsite means either by PCMI compliant payment gateways (Paypal, Paymate or Credit Card providers), phone based credit card payment agreements, cheque or EFT payments made by you through your own nominated bank account.
Your username and password for this service should be kept secure and should not be disclosed to a third party. We do not store your password in a human readable format (passwords are encrypted); and as such if you forget your password you will need to reset it using our online service. We highly recommend that you reset your password every 90 days as a personal security measure to protect the information you have stored with us.
